Shoei Kindergarten Event

What a wonderful time the preschoolers had at the International Doll's Festival this week, hosted by Shoei Kindergarten. It was not only a wonderful celebration of Hinamatsuri but of different cultures, too.

The preschoolers enjoyed the cultural performances by the students in attendance. With great enthusiasm the preschoolers performed two songs, one of which they invited all the students and teachers present, to perform with them. This was a lovely way for the preschoolers to share the community-building spirit of our class and school.

As a thank you gift, the preschoolers gifted the Shoei students a schultΓΌte which was made with great care and creativity. It was an honour to share our school's German tradition with our hosts.

This experience was a meaningful one for the preschoolers, as celebrating different cultures and traditions have been at the core of our unit of inquiry. This event was an opportunity for them to apply their knowledge and open-mindedness about the differences and similarities between cultures.

The preschoolers were the best cheerleaders cheering on the DSKI basketball team today. They made signs to show support to our fellow students, and cheered them all the way to victory!

Lastly, the preschoolers have been the busiest busy bees this week, preparing for next week's exhibition.
See you then!

Have a super duper weekend,

Ms Theona
